Launches
See the visitors, sign-ups, customers and revenue each launch, post or campaign brought in the days after it.
The Launches card turns each launch, post or campaign into one row: the visitors it brought, the sign-ups, customers and revenue that followed, revenue per visitor, and a day-by-day chart of the spike. Launches are ranked by revenue per visitor, so you can see which kind of launch is worth doing again. Launches are included in the Growth and Scale plans and in the free trial.
Add a launch
- 1
Open your dashboard and scroll to Launches. Click Add launch.
- 2
Give it a name, pick where you launched, and set the date and time. The link is optional and only shown on the card.
- 3
Choose how many days after the launch to measure (default 7, up to 90) and which goal counts as a sign-up (default
signup). - 4
Add up to 5 match rules (below) so Trakily knows which visits came from it, then click Save launch.
Platforms: Show HN, Product Hunt, X post or thread, Reddit post, Newsletter issue, YouTube video, Blog post, Ad campaign, Other. Each website can have up to 100 launches. Members and owners can add and edit launches; viewers and public dashboards see them read-only.
Match rules
A visit belongs to a launch when the first page of the visit matches any of its rules and the visit starts inside the measured window.
| Rule | Matches | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| UTM campaign | Visits whose utm_campaign equals the value (case doesn't matter). | Newsletter issues, YouTube videos, ads and anything you can tag. See UTM and campaigns. |
| Referrer | Visits referred by that site or its subdomains (www. is ignored). Add a referrer URL to only count visits from that exact page. | Show HN, Product Hunt, Reddit and blog posts on other sites. |
| X post | Visits through one post's t.co link. X gives every post its own code, so this is an exact match. | X posts and threads. |

Suggested launches
Trakily suggests launches from data it already has. Click Add to review and save one, or the cross to ignore it.
- Mentions: X posts found through their
t.colinks, and Hacker News, Reddit, Bluesky and Product Hunt posts found by Mentions. - UTM campaigns: every
utm_campaignseen in your traffic, dated from its first visit. The platform is guessed from the campaign, source and medium. - Traffic spikes: days when Hacker News, Product Hunt or Reddit sent at least 20 visitors and three times their usual daily traffic.
Suggestions that already are a launch (same campaign, same X post, or the same referrer site around that launch's date) are left out, and a spike next to a mention from the same site shows only the mention. Only suggestions with at least 5 visitors in their first 7 days are shown.
How the numbers are counted
- Visitors: unique visitors with a matching visit in the window.
- Sign-ups: those visitors who completed the launch's sign-up goal after arriving, counted once per person.
- Customers and revenue: first payments and all payments (refunds subtracted) by those visitors before the window ends, linked to visitors the same way as everywhere else (see Revenue attribution), in your site currency.
- First touch across launches: when a visitor came through several launches, their sign-up and payments count for the first one only, so overlapping launches never count the same sale twice. Visitor counts are not deduplicated.
- Ranking: by revenue per visitor. Launches with fewer than 10 visitors aren't ranked, so one lucky sale doesn't win.
- History: like the rest of the dashboard, launches only count data inside the history your plan shows (Starter 1 year, Growth 3, Scale 5). Launches from before that show no numbers until you upgrade.
- Excluded countries are left out. Dashboard filters and the date picker don't apply: each launch has its own window.
