Meta Ads
Connect Meta Ads to see spend next to the revenue each campaign brings.
Import Facebook and Instagram ad spend so the dashboard shows cost per visitor, cost per customer and ROAS for every campaign, ad set and ad. Trakily only asks for the ads_read permission and can't change your ads.
Connect
- 1
Open Settings → Integrations → Meta Ads, click connect and log in with Facebook. Allow the
ads_readpermission. - 2
Select the ad accounts to import and click Import. Spend history (up to 37 months) imports in the background.
Tag your ads
So Trakily can match visits to campaigns, paste this into Ads Manager → Ad → Destination → URL parameters on each ad:
utm_source={{site_source_name}}&utm_medium=paid_social&utm_campaign={{campaign.name}}&utm_term={{adset.id}}&utm_content={{ad.id}}Matching uses the ad, ad set and campaign ids first, then names for older ads tagged by name only. Visits that only carry fbclid or a Meta source count as Meta ad traffic under Not matched to a campaign. Organic Facebook posts without a paid signal are not counted as ads.
The Ads card
The Ads card shows ad spend, attributed revenue, ROAS, cost per visitor and cost per customer, and a table per campaign, ad set and ad with spend, clicks, visitors, customers and revenue. Revenue is credited to the first touch of the paying customer.
- Spend is converted to your reporting currency.
- Filters apply to visits and revenue, not spend.
- The card is only shown to signed-in team members, never on public share links.
Sync and reconnecting
Spend syncs every 15 minutes, re-fetching the last 7 days at most once an hour. Meta logins expire after about 60 days and can't be renewed automatically: the panel warns you a week ahead with Reconnect now to avoid a gap. Imported spend is kept when you reconnect, and deleted when you disconnect. Removing Trakily from your Facebook account and other ways to delete the data are covered in the data deletion instructions.
